Soundplayer Loading

Have you ever found a file on your hard drive and had a need to give it a little processing, email it as an mp3, check the metadata, playback a multichannel file over ReWire, etc?

You could always have swapped to a RAM database, scanned the file in and done whatever you needed(You do know you can use the single transfers section to transfer to an MP3?!), but then you lose your place in your main database.

Well now(v219 and higher), you can drop a file onto the player area, and it’ll load it up. You can spot to a DAW, transcode it, tag it, and do all the things you normally would(with the exception of metadata editing!) as though it existed in a database. All without scanning!
