Rewire is stored in the system Library folder. (not the user library folder where Soundminer usually stores its databases). The easiest way to get there is in the finder to use the GO menu and Go to Folder. Copy paste this in and then hit return /Library
A directory should now open up…
Go into Application Support Now look for a folder called Propellerhead Software. If you installed any Soundminer rewire component it should be there.
Inside there should be a folder called ReWire This folder should contains Rewire.bundle, unfortunately Propellerheads own installer on their website doesn’t seem to put the correct one in!
So download this file and unzip it, then put it into the ReWire folder http://soundminer.s3.amazonaws.com/ReWire.bundle.zip
So afterwards, depending on your product, you should have
ReWire.bundle SM4Rewire.bundle SMHDRewire.bundle
If you saw any “alias” or shortcuts as you were going through the folder structure to Rewire then remove those. (put them in the trash temporarily until you confirm everything is working, then empty)
Restart the computer and launch the sample mixer app (it contains more diagnosis messages). An error of 109 should you come across it, means the OS version is not supported, probably due to an old version lying around.
http://soundminer.s3.amazonaws.com/ReWire.bundle.zip
If you’ve made it this far, then rewire is all installed properly and up and running
Then the usualy procedutre of deleting ProTools' prefs to force it to rescan for plugins (and pick up the rewire devices) should work.
