This could be from mac’s quarantine process crashing. Normally you’d see a verifying progress bar go across and then an alert saying… “Are you sure you want to run this program?” However after looking in the console log you’ll see some reference to a mac process crashing.

You can manually release it from quarantine by launching Terminal (found in /Applications/Utilities) and putting this in…

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine

Then drag your application onto the open window and hit return. So you might have something that looks like this…

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Soundminer\ v4.5Pro.app

Another possibility is that ReWire is in a hung state, this could happen if ProTools has crashed. The easiest solution is to restart your computer.
