Getting Reaper Extension Working

Install(its slightly newer) - Extension Download

These two commands might be needed… if you try without these two commands, then quit Soundminer and Reaper first… execute the commands and then launch Reaper, then Soundminer.

sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application\ Support/REAPER

sudo chmod 755 /Library/Application\ Support/REAPER/UserPlugins/reaper_soundminer_extension.dylib

You’ll be prompted for an admin password, type it(you won’t see any indication that anything is being entered, but it is!)

Launch Reaper first Then Soundminer Go to DAW menu, make sure DAW says Soundminer Reaper Extension. If it just says Reaper you are going to get a new project opened up every time you spot, which isn’t what you want…

The reaper log is in this hidden folder ~/Library/Logs/Soundminer

Use the Finder GO menu to Go to folder and copy/paste that in(make sure to include the ~) Then hit return

When you launch Reaper at the bottom you want to see…

Log started: 13 Jan 2020 4:09:46pm (Or whatever the current date is) pipe created

If not then Reaper hasn’t loaded the extension properly. Make sure you’ve used the terminal commands and not just the finder get info panel… (chmod 755 sets the executable bit)
